SAY Rescue - Most of our dogs come from ordinary people who can no longer care for their Yorkie for whatever reason. Sometimes they come as strays. Occasionally, local animal shelters who consider rescue organizations like ours, a "last resort", call us to take the Yorkies that no one else will consider adopting - the blind, the elderly, the diabetic.
Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue - Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue, founded in 1997, is a non-profit all-volunteer organization that specializes in placing Labs and Lab mixes. Our web site features a regularly updated list of available Labs who are being given up by their owner (but still living at home) and dogs pulled from shelters and placed in foster care with our volunteers. We evaluate both the dog and the prospective adopting home to help ensure a good fit for everyone. All dogs are vet-checked and their shots updated before they are adopted. Brookline serves many counties in Pennsylvania from Bucks to Berks to State College area as well as part of New Jersey. Whether you are looking to adopt a Lab or need to re-home your existing Lab, please contact us after checking our web site at www.brooklinelabrescue.org to see if you live in one of our coverage areas.
